A quick examination of the opener chain revealed the heart of the issue. The chains had rust damage, and several partially broken chain links, which made it difficult for the opener to lift the door very far. We swapped the broken chain with a new chain and adjusted the tension. We then made sure the travel limit switch was still switched to the right mode. Finally, we conducted safety tests with the sensors to ensure peace of mind for the client.
